WINTER HARVEST

Teuta Pashnjari (Finlândia, 4:02)

Winter harvest (2023) is a visual journal that aims to explore my relationship with Finland. Originally from Albania, I grew up on the island of Corfu and in 2019 I made the decision to move to Finland for my studies. The change of my environment and the natural differences between Southern and Northern Europe somehow lead me to find the base and source behind my artistic process which is working on a site-specific context and exploring human connections in a philosophical proposition.

SELF-PORTRAIT ABOUT TIME
Florencia Silva (Argentina, 1:00)

Her poetic search is based on a visual game with images, linking textures and lighting to investigate their aesthetic possibilities. She starts from the game between color and the incidence of light on matter to approach the female universe and its symbolic representations in multimedia discourses.

MOONLIGHT (FILM VERSION)
Zichen Chang (China, 6:21)

This film is an elegy about forgetting.

A PART OF ME LIVES IN THE UTERUS (THE OTHER PART LEFT HOME)
Mariana Silveira e Leonard Collette (Brasil, 3:11)

A poetic persona searches for the sum of all its parts to become whole. However, the whole is greater than the sum of all parts.

IMAGO
Zhana Yordanova (Bulgária, 1:32)

I M A G O (term. C. Jung): Images that inhabit the subconscious in a spectral and idealized way, little like the reality of another time.

HOWL BY GOGOL
Uliana Shalygina (Rússia, 2:52)

Five dead men approach the boarder, which is guarded by dogs. Having fed the dog, they are waiting for the crossing to the other side. Howling dogs helps to cross the border. Leaving is liberation.

CHAPTER 3: THE ARRIVAL
Jvlie Ganem (México, 3:04)

We all live in closets… Sometimes we get so used to being in there that we no longer realize it, because we start to feel comfortable and safe in there. But what would happen if one day, we decided to venture into what is out there waiting for us, to go out and face, because that’s what life is about, isn’t it?

CONSTANT
André Marques Chambel (Portugal, 9:47)

An intermedia video-poem about the four stages of the sleep cycle and their connection to death.

2:26 P.M.
Arnaud Feret (França, 4:55)

It’s a journey of the gaze, from the city to the sea… a rhythm. There is no script, no narrative. A sum of sensations, black and white images. As in primitive cinema, a palaver is at the foot of the screen who lists the different visions of a traveler. a line of thought.

L
Nikolaus Jantsch (Áustria, 1:13)

This short animated film explores the relationship between visual and spoken worlds, when they unite, or when they take separate ways.

TEMPO (SEI PARA ONDE VOU)
Filipe Carvalho (Portugal, 3:32)

Tempo (sei por onde vou) was born from the poem of the same name, which deals with the natural existential themes and questions of a young adult. It is an attempt at total knowledge of what a human being is and his inner self, despite the distortion between temporal reality and its natural unpredictability. The short film is, therefore, a literal and visual journey through life and what it can be experienced through the eyes and body of the being. It is the beginning and the end of a metaphor that is life.
